Daniel Skála and Jana Vondráčková · CimbalomLab · 18 November 2026
Daniel Skála and Jana Vondráčková will give the world premiere of my Three Hungarian Etudes at CimbalomLab on 18 November 2026, at 19:00 CET.
I wrote Three Hungarian Etudes in 2019 for pianist Nóra Füzi and cimbalom player Daniel Skála. At this premiere, Daniel will perform with pianist Jana Vondráčková, at the Concert Hall of the University of Ostrava’s City Campus in the Czech Republic.
The three movements are Run, Stop, Run; Trembling, Slow, Slower; and Fast, Faster. The score’s cover and a complete score preview are available on the work page.
CimbalomLab — Concert of World Premieres for Cimbalom is organised by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music at the University of Ostrava. The programme explores the instrument in solo and chamber settings, including a quarter-tone cimbalom duo, with visual contributions from the faculty’s students.
The concert begins at 19:00 CET on Wednesday, 18 November 2026. If you cannot be in Ostrava, you can watch the live stream on YouTube using the link below.
